Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This cookie policy explains how thesalescoachnetwork.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers how we handle personal information more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work better, or to provide information to the people who run the site. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage, tags) do roughly the same job.
How we use cookies
We use cookies for three reasons:
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work. They include things like remembering your cookie preferences, supporting the contact form, and keeping the site secure. You cannot turn these off without breaking the site.
Analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how the site is used, which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where they come from. We use this to improve the site.
If you are in the UK, analytics is on by default. UK law allows this when analytics is used only to produce statistics that help us improve the site. We have set Google Analytics up for that purpose only: Google Signals and advertising features are off, the data is kept for 2 months, and it is not used to identify you or for advertising. You can turn analytics off at any time with the button below. If you are outside the UK, analytics only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner.
If you are outside the UK, before you choose, Google Analytics and Google Ads receive basic signals that do not use cookies or identify you, such as that a page was viewed. Google uses these only to estimate overall numbers. If you accept, full measurement cookies are set.
Marketing cookies
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure how well our LinkedIn activity brings people to the site, and to let us show follow-up content to visitors on LinkedIn. Marketing cookies are always opt-in, for every visitor, wherever you are: they are not loaded until you allow them via the cookie banner. We run paid advertising on Google and on LinkedIn. On Google, our ads appear on Search and, with remarketing, across Google's display network and YouTube.
Google Ads. If you accept marketing cookies, we use Google Ads to see which of our ads lead to visits and enquiries, and to show our ads again to people who've visited our site. Google may show these ads on Google Search, YouTube and other websites in Google's network. You can change your choice at any time in Cookie preferences, and manage the ads Google shows you in Google's My Ad Center.
The cookies we set
The table below lists the cookies the site currently sets, by category. This list is reviewed and updated as the site changes.
| Category | Cookie name | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | tscn_consent_v2 | thesalescoachnetwork.com | Records your analytics and marketing choices, so the banner does not show again. Replaces the earlier tscn_consent cookie, which is removed automatically. | 1 year |
| Strictly necessary | __dpl | Lovable (our hosting platform) | Set by the hosting platform to serve the site securely and reliably. | Session |
| Strictly necessary | session-id | Lovable (our hosting platform) | Set by the hosting platform to serve the site securely and reliably. | Session |
| Analytics | _ga | Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager | Tells one visitor apart from another so we can count visits and see which pages are used. In the UK: set unless you turn analytics off. Elsewhere: only set after you accept. | 2 years |
| Analytics | _ga_9F66GPD4T3 | Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager | Keeps track of a single visit (session) so pages viewed in one visit are grouped together. In the UK: set unless you turn analytics off. Elsewhere: only set after you accept. | 2 years |
| Marketing | bcookie | LinkedIn (linkedin.com) | Browser identifier used by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. Only set after you accept cookies. | 1 year |
| Marketing | lidc | LinkedIn (linkedin.com) | Routes LinkedIn requests to the right server. Only set after you accept cookies. | 1 day |
| Marketing | li_gc | LinkedIn (linkedin.com) | Stores your consent choice for LinkedIn's own non-essential cookies. Only set after you accept cookies. | 6 months |
| Marketing | UserMatchHistory | LinkedIn (linkedin.com) | Lets LinkedIn match a visit to a LinkedIn member for measurement. Only set after you accept cookies. | 30 days |
| Marketing | AnalyticsSyncHistory | LinkedIn (linkedin.com) | Records when LinkedIn last synced its measurement data. Only set after you accept cookies. | 30 days |
| Marketing | _gcl_au | thesalescoachnetwork.com, via Google Ads | Links a click on one of our Google Ads to what happens later on the site, so we can count the visits and enquiries our ads bring. Only set after you accept marketing cookies. | 90 days |
| Marketing | IDE, test_cookie, NID | Google (doubleclick.net, google.com) | Used by Google to show our ads to people who've visited our site, across Google's services and other websites, and to measure how well those ads work. Only set after you accept marketing cookies. | Up to 13 months (IDE), 6 months (NID), a few minutes (test_cookie) |
The site also uses browser session storage (not a cookie) to remember your scroll position when you move between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us.
If you allow marketing cookies, the site also keeps a short note in your browser storage (not a cookie) of the page you first landed on and the website or campaign link that brought you here. It’s kept for up to 30 days and is only sent to us if you fill in one of our forms, so we know how you found us. If you turn marketing off, the note is deleted.
The contact page includes a booking calendar provided by Calendly. When that calendar loads, Calendly may set its own cookies on its own domain. Calendly's cookie policy at calendly.com covers those cookies.
Managing cookies
You can manage your cookie preferences in two ways:
- Using our cookie banner. The banner appears the first time you visit the site. To change your choice later, use the preferences below.
- Through your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site will not work.
Changing your choice stops new analytics and marketing cookies from being set. To remove cookies that are already on your device, delete them through your browser using the links below.
