Sales Management Training

Your best seller has just become your newest manager. The front-line sales manager is a critical role in any sales organisation, yet many are promoted into the position without the skills to succeed. They are often your best sellers, but the skills that made them great as individual contributors are not the same skills required to lead a team.

Our sales management training gives managers a practical way to coach people and deals, run pipeline reviews that move opportunities forward, and keep a steady weekly cadence with their team. Great selling and great coaching are two different skills.

Our sales manager training courses run as a one-day or two-day workshop, or as virtual sessions. Coaching for managers on their live deals can follow. Every course is built around your team's real opportunities, and the prices are published below.

Sales training workshop

Who it is for

New and "accidental" managers. The most common path to sales management is promoting a top-performing salesperson. It often creates an "accidental manager", someone who is expected to lead without ever being taught how. The pattern is predictable:

  • They continue to sell, often jumping in to "rescue" deals rather than coaching their representatives.
  • They manage by numbers, inspecting the pipeline but not knowing how to improve it.
  • They lack a structured framework for running effective one-to-ones and coaching sessions.
  • They jump on calls to "save" deals, micro-manage their team, and get buried in reporting.

Experienced managers who want a consistent way to coach, review pipeline and forecast across their team.

Sales directors and VPs who need a scalable way to upskill their entire leadership team.

Team leaders who have been identified as high-potential future managers.

This is not the right fit if you are selling low-value, transactional products at speed, or you have no capacity to reinforce the training once the workshop ends.

What the programme covers

1

Coaching people and deals.

Managers learn to coach a live opportunity with a simple structure: the goal, where the deal is now, where it is stuck, and the options going forward. Coaching then becomes part of the weekly job, so it is no longer an occasional event.

2

Pipeline reviews that move deals forward.

Managers learn to assess pipeline health, spot risk early and run deal reviews that end with an agreed next decision. This makes the forecast more reliable.

3

Qualification in every deal review.

Managers learn to test each opportunity against the same questions every time, using the REVENUE Qualification Methodology™. In practice that is a short checklist, scored and tracked, that shows the gaps and the actions to take.

4

A steady team cadence.

Managers learn to set a predictable schedule of one-to-ones, team meetings and pipeline reviews, so accountability does not depend on mood or month-end.

5

Managing performance and motivating the team.

Managers learn to set clear expectations, handle underperformance fairly and constructively, and set KPIs the team understands.

6

Making training stick.

Managers learn to drive reinforcement when you invest in sales training, so new skills are used by the team in live deals.

7

The first 90 days, for new managers.

The first 30 days are about establishing credibility, understanding the team's strengths and weaknesses, and setting clear expectations. In the next 30, the manager starts a consistent coaching routine, diagnoses pipeline health and finds early improvements. In the final 30, the manager holds the team to the new standards and builds a forecasting model they trust.

Price from

Sales management training starts from £12,000 for a one-day or virtual workshop for up to 20 people, and from £22,000 for two days. What moves the price is team size, location and how much the content is customised to your sales process. What changes, and how it is measured

The aim is a manager who coaches every week, runs reviews that move deals forward, and holds the team to a standard they understand. We agree the measures with you at the start. Lead indicators include how often coaching conversations happen and how good they are, whether a consistent review cadence is in place, and manager confidence. Lag indicators are the business results of the manager's team, such as win rate, target attainment and sales cycle length.

What participants say about our workshops. We ask every participant at the end of every workshop how likely they are to recommend it. Between August 2023 and September 2026, 442 people answered. They scored their facilitator 9.3 out of 10 on average, and 95% would strongly recommend their facilitator. These figures cover all TSCN workshops, not only manager training, and include every answer.

Client example

A global fintech SaaS platform: equipping sales leaders to coach. A global provider of investment management platforms had a sales team that was already performing well. To reach larger enterprise deals, leadership needed sales leaders who could coach both people and deals through a new approach. We worked with senior leaders and the revenue enablement team to assess current practice. We then built a programme that complemented their existing methodology, and wrote practical playbooks and coaching guides so leaders could drive consistency and embed new behaviours. In the client sponsor's words: "The programme integrated our existing sales methodology supplemented by a suite of tools to enhance our sales process."
